Terms of Use

Last updated October 19, 2026

PLEASE READ THIS TERMS OF USE AGREEMENT (“AGREEMENT”) CAREFULLY. THIS AGREEMENT IS A LEGAL CONTRACT BETWEEN YOU AND MANDATE LABS, INC. (“MANDATE,” “WE,” OR “US”).

SECTION 13 OF THIS AGREEMENT IS AN ARBITRATION CLAUSE THAT REQUIRES MOST DISPUTES BETWEEN US TO BE RESOLVED ON AN INDIVIDUAL, NON-CLASS ACTION BASIS THROUGH BINDING AND FINAL ARBITRATION INSTEAD OF IN COURT. SEE SECTION 13 FOR MORE INFORMATION REGARDING THIS ARBITRATION CLAUSE, AND HOW TO OPT OUT.

By accessing or using www.mandatepolicy.com or any Mandate website with an authorized link to this Agreement, accessing or using the Mandate platform, advocacy campaign pages, or related services (collectively, the “Services”), clicking to accept this Agreement, or completing account registration, you agree to be bound by this Agreement and represent that you have the legal authority to do so, including on behalf of any organization you register. If you do not agree to be bound by this Agreement, you may not access or use the Services.

1. Registration

When registering an account, you agree to provide true, accurate, current, and complete information, to safeguard your account credentials, and to notify Mandate immediately of any unauthorized use. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

2. Subscriptions, Trials, and Payment

Some Services require a paid subscription. Fees, plan features, and billing periods are described at checkout and on our pricing page. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until canceled. You can cancel at any time from your billing settings, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. If you start a free trial, you will be charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before then. Payments are handled by our third-party payment processor. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable. We may change our fees with advance notice, and changes apply to your next billing period. Paid subscriptions are also governed by our Terms and Conditions, which control if they conflict with this Agreement.

3. Ownership of and License to Use Services

Mandate and its suppliers own all rights, title, and interest in the Services. Subject to this Agreement and payment of any applicable fees, Mandate grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Services for your internal business purposes or, if you use the Services as an individual, your personal non-commercial purposes.

4. User Content

You are responsible for content you make available through the Services, including notes, saved searches, organization profiles, and campaign materials. Mandate does not claim ownership of your content, but you grant Mandate the rights necessary to operate and provide the Services. You agree not to use the Services unlawfully, infringe others' rights, distribute harmful or unsolicited material, impersonate others, or disclose another person's confidential information without consent.

5. Advocacy Campaigns

If you run an advocacy campaign through the Services, you are responsible for its content and for complying with all laws that apply to it, including lobbying, disclosure, and communications laws. Mandate delivers messages from campaign participants but does not control how elected officials or their offices receive, respond to, or act on them.

6. Restrictions on Use of the Services

You may not resell or commercially exploit the Services beyond the license granted above, or copy, modify, reverse engineer, scrape, build a competing product from, interfere with, circumvent protections of, or improperly access the Services. Any unauthorized use terminates the licenses granted under this Agreement.

The Services compile information from public government sources and use automated and AI tools to generate summaries, impact assessments, alerts, and other analysis. This content may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate, and you should verify it against official sources before relying on it. Nothing in the Services is legal, compliance, or lobbying advice.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share personal information in connection with the Services.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS. MANDATE AND ITS AFFILIATES, SUPPLIERS, AND LICENSORS (THE “MANDATE PARTIES”) DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, SUBJECT TO RIGHTS THAT CANNOT BE DISCLAIMED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE MANDATE PARTIES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL. THE MANDATE PARTIES' AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICES OR THIS AGREEMENT IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID MANDATE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE OR $100.

11. Termination

Mandate may modify, suspend, or terminate the Services or your access at its discretion, including if you violate this Agreement. You may stop using the Services and cancel your account at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

12. International Users

The Services are operated from the United States. Users who access the Services from outside the United States do so voluntarily and are responsible for compliance with applicable local laws.

13. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

Please read this section carefully. Except for claims that qualify for small claims court and claims to protect intellectual property, any dispute relating to the Services or this Agreement will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by JAMS under its applicable rules, rather than in court. Arbitration will take place in Washington, DC, or remotely, and will proceed only on an individual basis. You and Mandate waive any right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action or class arbitration.

You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing hello@mandatepolicy.com within 30 days after you first accept this Agreement, with your name, account email, and a statement that you opt out of arbitration.

14. General Provisions

You consent to receive communications from us electronically. You may not assign this Agreement without our consent; we may assign it in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control. This Agreement is governed by the laws of the District of Columbia, without regard to conflict of law rules, and any dispute not subject to arbitration will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Washington, DC. You agree to comply with all applicable export control laws. This Agreement, together with the Privacy Policy, the Terms and Conditions, and any order terms you accept, is the entire agreement between you and Mandate regarding the Services.

15. Changes and Contact

We may update this Agreement from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and change the date above. Continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the updated Agreement. Questions, notices, or complaints can be sent to hello@mandatepolicy.com, Mandate Labs, Inc., Washington, DC.
